Hydrogen Producing Units (HPU)
This refinery has two hydrogen plants, one with the capacity of 50 million cubic foot per day and the other with 135 million ft/D. By using natural gas and steam under the temperature of 800 'รง the hydrogen needed for refinery units is produced. After hydrogen production, for improving its purity the pressure swing adsorption system (PSA) is used. This system makes it possible to increase the purity of hydrogen up to 99.9 percent.
