Kerosene Hydroterating Unit
This unit has the capacity of About 31,500 B/D which treats the kerosene product of distillation units and also the naphtha product of RCD unit. The feed of the unit is treated in the presence of catalyst and by means of hydrogen under the temperature of 300°C and pressure of 50 barg. All impurities of kerosene feed which is mainly sulfur and nitrogen, is removed in a way that the kerosene product has a sulfur content of less than 20 ppm. One of the most important economic advantages of this unit is that its kerosene product can be blended with Euro IV Diesel product. Also the treated naphtha of this unit with total sulfur of less than 5 ppm can be used as one of the feed components of catalytic reforming unit for gasoline production.
